Full of Joy

“You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’ Acts 2:28

From Daniel Springs church camp.

I was overwhelmed last night with joy at the sight of a man singing with arms raised.

Years ago his wife came to camp for the first time. She spent most of four days on the phone with him as he begged her to come back home.

Finally he came to church camp for the first time just last year.
Last night during the praise and worship, I saw this man on the front row, raise his hands in praise and sing with all his heart.
It put a smile on my face and liquid joy in my eyes.

God is so good and turns the hardest heart and hardest head to Him.
And last night over ten asked Jesus for salvation. There were many that rededicated their lives to Jesus.
It's time for revival. God is moving.

Walk by….oops!

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
II Corinthians 5:7

I'm at church camp this week and so the Morning Thought will have some delays.

Last night during canteen time, which a snack and refreshment break, someone dropped an ice cream on the ground.
I watched as people step around and over it.
Sooner or later I knew the inevitable would happen.
Sure enough someone step smack dab in the middle of it.
I looked to see who and I knew the person very well.
She is a great woman of faith – one that walks by faith.
When I saw her this morning I told her about the ice cream. She never realized that she stepped in it.
What it it had been broken glass or a venomous snake?
Walk by faith in the Spirit but also keep your eyes open in the physical.

Joy and Celebrating in Father’s House

So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ Luke 15:29-30 Continue reading

Freedom to/from sin.

And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. Luke 15:13 Continue reading
