Memorable Scripture: Out of you flows Living Water

Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, “Give us water, that we may drink.” Exodus 17:2

Just like hunger, thirst gets more people room to complain.
As with food, I’ve heard a few say things like, “I’m dying of thirst!”
They weren’t in a hot working environment or coming off the baseball field. They weren’t walking across the Saharan Desert or denied any type of refreshment.
They were just thirsty but made more of it than necessary.
I do not think they would die in the next minute and often it took a few more before they got something to drink.

The Israelites contended with Moses and God over the lack of water.
Let’s review!
God struck Egypt with plagues.
God delivered the Israelites out of the country with Egyptian gold, silver, and jewels.
God parted the Red Sea for them to escape and drowned the Egyptians in it.
He gave them manna and quail.

It seems God has not failed them and provided for their every need.
There’s no need for thinking He will fail now.
Quite the opposite, God provides and provides and provides.
Today He is still providing for you.
Jesus told the woman at the well, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10
Later He would say, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38

He has provided a way for you to never thirst again.
And He has provided a way for you to give this living water to others.
