You can’t blame Cain (or anyone else)

If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, then Lamech seventy-sevenfold. Gen 4:24

Another person is not a reason to sin or an excuse. Part of the curse of Cain is the godlessness he imparted to the generations after him.
His great-great-great grandson killed someone for hitting him. He claimed if Cain could get away with it then so could he!

I find so many people blaming someone else for their troubles.
A young man is constantly late to work and his supervisor reports him to the manager. Terminated, he blames his supervisor for reporting it and getting him in trouble. He does not see his tardiness at a contribution to his situation.

Each of us is responsible for our own sins. It is written we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 2 Cor 5:10
During that judgment you can point to all the people you think did you wrong, influenced you, or caused you to stray.
Each of us appears without the influence of another.

There is One that could speak up for you – One on your behalf. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. 1 Tim 2:5
Will Jesus speak up for you?
Will He say, “Well done!” or “Depart from me!”
Either way, He speaks just to you!
Accept Him as Savior and let Him!
