For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7
You have a God-given gift just like Timothy. Paul told him, “I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” 2 Tim 1:6
This is what you should have no fear over – your ability in God to do all things that He enables and equips you to do.
How can someone go into the deepest jungle of the Amazon and carry the Gospel? It is a God-given gift!
Another person stands on a street corner of a large city and passes out Bibles, while some walking by curse him. It is a God-given gift.
And a man stands in front of a large group and boldly preaches and teaches from the Bible. Maybe your biggest fear is talking in front of others but your pastor does it every Sunday. It is a God-given gift.
You might think “I could never be a missionary, pass out Bibles, or speak in front of others!”
Perhaps you have a gift that needs “stirring up”.
Whatever your gift, stir it up. Use it! Do not fear doing it but embrace it with the confidence of the Holy Spirit using you to honor Him.
