What is your time today?

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: Eccl 3:1

This week has been busy.
I had a funeral for a man that died at the age of 100 years old.
Tonight I officiate a wedding of a couple that wants begin a new life together as a family.
Sunday I have a baptism for someone to demonstrate their love for the Lord.
Three different facets of life in one week with the possibility of many more.

I’m sure a birth took place, he proposed, a wife told her husband she’s expecting, a doctor told a patient he’s in remission, a teenage girl was asked to the prom, a young man was sworn into the military, or a couple bought their first house.

A young man gets his first job, a high school junior gets her senior ring, a mom sees her toddler take his first steps, a young man moves out of his parents home, and today they file for divorce while another couple gets a wedding license.

Solomon gave a more extensive list of things for which there is a time and season.
Not everyone gets married or has a baby.
You may not join the Armed Forces or buy a house. You may never file for divorce or get baptized.
But the first thing I did this week will happen to every one of us. As Solomon noted, “A time to be born, and a time to die;” {Eccl 3:2) with an undisclosed amount of time in between.

What will your time and season include today?
