Happier repenting

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 2 Tim 4:3-4

I’m sure you know this scripture. I see the fulfillment in the statements of a national mega-church pastor.
His words during an interview encourage you to find a church you are comfortable in. This statement included living in sin.
Now I know all sin and come short of the glory of God but to openly advocate finding a church that turns a blind eye to any particular sin(s) is antichrist.
Instead of preaching salvation through Jesus it is preaching total acceptance by Jesus.
Now you will say Jesus loves everyone and that is true.
But I say Jesus will judge everyone and some to eternal life and others to eternal damnation. This too is true. (Matt 25:46, Rev 20:15)
The Law and Gospel message convict us of sin, leading to repentance, and salvation through Christ.
As Peter said in Acts 3:19, “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.”
As Paul said in Rom 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
My advise – find a church that convicts you of sin and leads you to repentance in Christ Jesus! You will find yourself happier repenting!
