For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:17
Last night was the first Wednesday of the month. It’s the only time the men and women split up into separate groups for Bible study, prayer, and discussion.
The men took a look at the church – our church.
We talked about how some congregations have 200 and some have 30. We spoke about reaching the community for Christ. The discussion turned to friendliness and making visitors feel welcome.
We spoke on what I say from the pulpit, which should center on the Gospel.
WE examined our music. We looked at the equipment. We talked about the programs and services.
Many people have visited our church – many did not return. I told the men my hope is the reason they did not return, because we were too friendly.
Basically the men took a look at CrossRoads, the house of God. and began an examination – a judgment – For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God.
