It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Rom 8:34
There is a story of a couple traveling toward Bethlehem. She is late in her pregnancy and goes into labor before reaching the small town.
She gives birth to a son.
And so it was, as her soul was departing (for she died), that she called his name Ben-Oni; but his father called him Benjamin. So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem). And Jacob set a pillar on her grave, which is the pillar of Rachel’s grave to this day.
Then Israel journeyed and pitched his tent beyond the tower of Eder. Gen 35:18-22
The story is about Israel (Jacob) and Rachel.
She died giving birth and named her son “son of my sorrow” (Ben-Oni). Israel named him “son of my right hand” (Benjamin).
Another Child was also born as a couple traveled to Bethlehem.
I’m sure His mom would call Him “Son of my sorrow” on the day she watched Him die on a cross.
But His Father renamed Him to “Son of my right hand!” (Rom 8:34 It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.)
God has a plan!
