Water rules!

And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Gen 1:2

Last night I found a small leak in my new bathroom, the one Mark and I re-did back in June. If there is a hole, water will find it. If there is a way out or around, water will find it.
It got me to thinking and I came to the conclusion – water rules.

The Bible does not give an account of God creating water (although He did) but simply says His Spirit hovered over the face of waters.

Water gives life and takes it away, as in the days of Noah.
The waters surrounded the life of Jonah.
Solomon tells you to drink water from your own cistern.
Ezekiel gave a glimpse of the depth of water.
John came baptizing in water.
Jesus first miracle involved water.
One of the most influential Bible stories involves a Samaritan woman, a well, and a drink of water.
Paul told how he planted but Apollo’s watered, and God gave the increase.
James tells about different types of water but assures you they don’t proceed from the same source.
Jesus also said that by believing in Him, out of your heart will rivers of living water.

The Bible begins with water – And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Gen 1:2
The Bible ends with water –
And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. Rev 22:17

Give someone some water today.
For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. Mark 9:41

  1. Isaiah 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
