The Godly Relationship

You will remember this old song:

Tim and Linda
Sitting in a tree,
K-I-S-S-I-N-G.
First comes love,
then comes marriage,
then comes Linda
with a baby carriage!

At one time the tradition of the song was followed – a man and woman fell in love, got married, and raised a family.
That’s no longer so today!
Even though last year’s Supreme Court decision opened the door for same sex marriage, I am not referring to this. I will stick with a male/female relationship, which has undergone a great transformation.

Many that claim to be Christian have bought the lie that all love is good or that if you love somebody it is all okay.
Many Christian men and women commit fornication, discouraged and prohibited in the writings of the Apostle Paul.
Many children are born out of wedlock. I will say that I am glad that these children are born and not aborted.

What has happened to the idea of love, marriage, and family?
I believe it is a lack of inviting Jesus into the relationship, into the wedding, and into the family.

Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. John 2:2

While at this wedding, Jesus performed His first miracle – water into wine.
I am not here to debate the alcoholic content or the justification of some to drink. The point I make is this: when you invite Christ into the relationship/marriage/family, you see miracles happen.

It begins with inviting Christ into your own life, then seeking out God’s will for that one person with whom you can have a Godly relationship.
