What do you ask?

What would you ask from God?
Would you ask something for yourself or another? Would you request a healing, pray salvation for someone, or want a better job?

There are many examples of people praying and asking God for many different things in the Bible.
Some of those prayers have been the subject of books and teaching material, like the Prayer of Jabez.

But if you stood before Jesus and could ask for anything, what would it be?

Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down and asking something from Him.
And He said to her, “What do you wish?”
She said to Him, “Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on the left, in Your kingdom.” Matt 20:20-21

Her request was very bold.
It was for her sons and not herself, yet if her sons were in a position of power they could care for her.
I’m not sure how to feel about this mom’s request.
I know how the other disciples felt about it. When the ten heard it, they began to be greatly displeased with James and John. Mark 10:41

I’m pretty sure I’ve prayed selfishly many times.
But today my prayer is salvation for some certain individuals. It is for the Holy Spirit to fill and give comfort to someone else.
I pray for my church family and my own family.

What is your prayer today?
