A Christian should know the word of God and be able to use it in every occasion. That’s easier said than done but through the leading of the Holy Spirit it is not impossible.
Once again, it was the Day of Pentecost. The believers were in one place and in one accord when the Holy Spirit filled them all.
Quickly the group headed down to the streets of Jerusalem, which was filled with people from all over the world, who had come for the festival.
The believers began to preach the word of God in the language of all the attendees.
This caused the hearers to wonder how this was happening and some accusations of being drunk were tossed around.
Acts 2:14-16 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
Peter used the occasion and turned around the accusation for the glory of God. He did not defend himself but instead he used the scriptures to bring others to Christ.
A mark of a Christian is testifying about the scriptures and using them in everyday life!
No matter where a conversation begins, the Holy Spirit can direct you to turn it to the word of God.
Pray and ask God to direct you that way today.
