He made you to choose. Choose right!

I realize this will be unpopular by many people but here I go.

I saw a cartoon the other day that made me shake my head. It was a man telling “Jesus” how sorry he was that he was gay. The “Jesus” character told him it was ok – “I made you that way!”
I believe God made us free to choose a path but He always gives the right direction.

For instance, in Eden He instructed Adam there was only one tree he couldn’t eat from.
That ended up being the tree that Adam and his wife ate of.
Now you can say that God made them that way – made them to be disobedient. He made them to fall into temptation. That God made them to sin.
But He really only made them to choose to obey Him or choose to disobey Him and sin.
In His effort to help us He gave us Laws, which we also disobeyed.
He gave us warning, which we chose to ignore.

He finally fulfilled His plan with the crucifixion of Jesus. This act assures your salvation through His perfect life and substitutionary death on your behalf.

The way you and I were born is not okay with God. If it was then Jesus would not have had to come and die for us.
If they way you were born was acceptable to God then He would not have said, “You must be born again.” John 3:7
If the old creation was acceptable to God, He would not have said, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Cor 5:17

You can be heterosexual and fornicating and it is sin.
You can be Caucasian and a liar and it is sin.
You can be African-American and curse God and it is sin.
You can be homosexual and it is sin.
You can be Republican or Democrat and you were born in sin.

Only through Jesus can you overcome sin and move beyond the temptation of fornication, lying, cursing, or any other thing that is against God.

The right direction that God gives is through Jesus!
