The idea of an affair is such a temptation to so many people. And an offer like the one above is too great. They sign up and wait for the opportunity to sin. Yes, sin!
I’ll say it again – adultery is sin and there is a penalty for sin called death!

The offer doesn’t appeal to me, not in the least! I find it repulsive.

People don’t need a reason or excuse to sin. It becomes a natural ability born into each of us. All fall prey to sin, except One!

The devil is well known for the tactics of temptation. When it came to Jesus, Satan did not offer an affair, alcohol, drugs, or more money.
He offered three things.

Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” Matt 4:3

Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’” Matt 4:5-6

Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Matt 4:8-9

The temptation came in the form of proving that Jesus is the Son of God.
Satan appealed to Jesus’ physical side through hunger and a satisfying piece of bread.
He appealed to His spiritual side to show off at how godly important He was.
He appealed to His Kingship by offering what he really did not own but he is a squatter in this world.

Satan’s temptations can only give you a temporary satisfaction and false happiness. Satan offers what he does not own and cannot fulfill! He owns nothing but offers everything, therefore, he is a thief.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. John 10:10

Jesus offers life!

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
