I met volunteer yesterday at Shareathon, which is a fundraiser for the radio station where I work. Many volunteers help with answering the phones, praying, hospitality and cleaning up.
So as I was about to leave I spoke to the woman, who said she was a friend of someone else who knew me and she had gone to school in Chireno.
I told her I knew some other people that had gone to Chireno – the Fountain’s.
And that I was related to Jerry and Ruthie.
Her response was, “Uncle Jerry?”
Yep! It’s the same folks and the world just got smaller!
Then Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “Blessed be he of the Lord, who has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead!” And Naomi said to her, “This man is a relation of ours, one of our close relatives.” Ruth 2:20
Everyone knows someone that knows someone that you know, if that makes since.
Even more important everyone knows someone that knows Christ Jesus! If you don’t know Him as Savior – chances are you know someone that does and can tell you about Him.
Just like the book of Ruth, there is someone that can lead you to redemption in Jesus. What a blessing that is! Just think of how close each person is to salvation! It’s just a cousin or uncle away! Perhaps grandpa and grandma could tell you about Jesus.
It could even be your own sibling.
If you don’t know Jesus as Savior, please take my advice and ask someone you know and trust about Him – someone in whom you see the light of Christ!
