Your name.

Where is your name recorded?

The day you were born your name was recorded on a birth certificate and filed.

When you went to school your name was recorded and filed in the main office and with every teacher you had.

If you have a driver’s license, Social Security number, or file taxes then the government knows your name.

Do you have a credit card?
Your name is recorded somewhere.

And unless you used an alias there is Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many more.

You may have written you name in a guest book at the last wedding you attended or at the last funeral.

If you were treated at a doctor’s office or hospital then your name is written somewhere in a file.

If you join a church or country club, you may be written in a membership book.

And when you died your name will be written on a death certificate, an obituary, in a registry at the funeral home, and finally someone will write your name on a headstone.

So from birth to death your name is written in many places.

Despite all the places it is written there is one place that really matters. All the other places really do not matter.

But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Rev 21:27

You can show up before God with all your credentials of where your name has been recorded but unless it’s in the Lamb’s Book of Life it won’t matter.

Only salvation through Jesus can assure you that your name is there. Without it that headstone inscription will be final!

Jesus is offering you eternal life today. Believe and trust in Him.
