Let’s get stone (part 4)

Everyone has broken the Commandments and it is obvious that we’re all stoned, that is, deserving of God’s judgment and death sentence.

To be victorious over sin and live, you’re going to have to find a way to make that stone bounce off of you.

Are you familiar with the phrase “fight fire with fire”? How about fighting a stone with a Stone.

Then He looked at them and said, “What then is this that is written: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone’? Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” Luke 20:17-18

This is the stone of Christ, which is a reference to Jesus as the chief cornerstone that is reiterated from the Psalms into the Gospels, Acts, and the writings of Peter.

Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.”
They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. 1 Peter 2:7-8

Those that accept the love, grace, and forgiveness of Jesus find a Stone that breaks them because of sin. What is broken can be put back together and God’s grace is the glue.

Peter says that those that believe find Jesus to be precious. I can testify to the truth of that statement.

Those that reject Christ will find a stone that will crush them to powder. Powder cannot be put back together. It is good for nothing but to be thrown out.

Don’t be the powder; discover the glue and let God put you back together.
