Linda and I went to the funeral home last night to pay our final respect to Mr. Jeanes.
The parking lot was full when we arrived as this man touched a lot of lives. He was well known in the community, in church, at the local school, and in the county.
There was a montage of photographs flashing across a TV screen; pictures frozen in time of a life of 90 years.
Pictures were mostly of family and close kin but the crowd in the chapel told the greater story of those that were not related, like myself, and whose lives had been affected by his life.
Everyone touches the lives of others but you are the one that determines how you touch others. You can touch them with love or hate. You can touch with gladness or anger. You can touch others with the love of Jesus or living for Satan.
Moses was one that touched many lives. In fact, he touched an entire nation.
Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished. And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. So the days of weeping and mourning for Moses ended. Deut 34:7-8
His life affected so many in such a great way that he was mourned for a month.
Touch someone today! Touch them with love, joy, peace, encouragement, and Christ.
Abba, I want to transform the life of others with the life You have given me. In Jesus name, YES&AMEN
