Luke 16:29-31 But Abraham said, “Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read what they wrote.”’
The rich man replied, “’No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.”’
But Abraham said, “If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen even if someone rises from the dead.”
How deadly true this is!
The Bible is the one book that offers hope for every person and, yet, many will not pick it up or listen to its message.
Sure, there is a message of judgment, condemnation, and eternal punishment. It is coupled with a stronger message of love, forgiveness, salvation, joy, peace, grace, and mercy.
To ignore the word of God is to deny the only opportunity for freedom from the sin that inhabits each person.
To embrace the word of God, not only with the mind but with heart and soul, is to accept God’s condition and covenant for redemption.
Want further proof of the Word’s importance?
Indeed, One has risen from the dead!
I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. Rev 1:18
Abba Father, give me guidance to rightly dispense Your word. Lead my mind and mouth in a way that will share Your message to each of us. Give me understanding to help others understand also. In Jesus’ name, YES&AMEN
