Expect the Unexpected

Luke 21:34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.

Are you watching for the coming of the Lord or are you too busy with the cares of this life?

It’s sad to say that many Christian’s believe Jesus is returning but aren’t readily looking for it. It will catch them off guard and unexpectedly – like a thief in the night.

There is no reason for that to happen.

God’s word gives information on the times and signs of His imminent return.

Paul said, “ But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.” 1 Thess 5:4
But you have to take your eyes off the world; you have to lift from your neck the weight of carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life so that you can look up.

Look up, indeed – your redemption is coming closer!

Abba Father, my desire is to keep my eyes on You. I want to be the first to see You return just before I’m caught up! But even if that doesn’t happen I know in my heart I will be with You! YES&AMEN
