Finish the Task

1 Sam 17:51 Then David ran over and pulled Goliath’s sword from its sheath. David used it to kill him and cut off his head.

For David, it wasn’t enough to knock Goliath down with a stone. He then took Goliath’s own sword and finished the job!

There is no such thing as running half of a race or winning half a ball game. You have to go the whole distance and complete the task.

The Lord Jesus is the ultimate example. It wasn’t enough to live a perfect life. It wasn’t enough to heal the sick. It wasn’t enough to just preach the Gospel to the poor.
It wasn’t enough for Him to be beaten.

He had to die to complete the task.
And it was only at the moment of death that He said, “It is finished!” John 19:30

So as you go out today and live for the Lord, don’t do half of a job – do it completely.
Give it 100%!

Abba Father, give me the strength and endurance to see it through. Give me perseverance to continue. In Jesus’ name, YES&AMEN
