renew officialWhat a week!
Last week’s Ark-La-Tex-a-Bama Family Church Camp was the most reviving, renewing, restoring church camp that I have been to!
This year’s theme was on renewing based on Romans 12:2 – Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Renewing and not conforming seemed to hit everyone pretty hard.
Todd West was the evangelist again and he really poured his heart and soul into the messages.
During the first nights invitation I had a young lady come and just cry on my shoulder – literally!
I let her cry as long as she wanted and then we talked and prayed.
During her time at the camp she continued to be ministered to by the ladies of our group.

Unknown to our group at the time, across the tabernacle four were giving their hearts to Jesus.
Others from our church came forward and I prayed and talked with them also.
And others from other church groups also went forward and gave their hearts to Jesus. Twenty-four by the weeks end.

Thursday had to be the greatest night.
Todd used Luke 9:23, which our entire church is very familiar with – If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
That has been the subject of my sermons since mid-June.

At the end of the invitation Todd gently pushed for each person to gather and pray. Each person gathered with their own church group and prayer continued and continued. Hearts were mended, sins were confessed, forgiveness was given, souls were saved, and healing began.
I was thankful that our church group gathered around Linda and me, layed hands on us, and prayed over us.
We hugged, we cried, and we rejoiced.

Oh how I wish that each person from church could have experienced this on that night.
Then I realize that each can in their own heart at any time simply by following Romans 12:2!

  1. God is alive, and personable. Truly God wants a relationship with each one of His creatures. That is those made in His image. I can’t help but love the face that skin color, or age, or nation has nothing to do with His love. Not only will He accept anyone that will come to Him, but God will share His heart with that one.
