Salvation is easy!
Jesus has done all the hard work when He gave Himself for you on the cross.
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:9-10
Salvation is hard!
When the Holy Spirit convicts your heart of sin you must decide to turn your back on your own desire to give in to His.
For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. 2 Cor 7:10
Salvation is joyful!
When Jesus forgives and removes your sins He puts joy in its place.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Rom 15:13
Salvation is heartbreaking.
You feel like sharing Jesus with everyone you meet but not everyone you meet shares your enthusiasm. You may be disrespected, scorned, bad-mouthed, and talked about behind your back.
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.
But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. 2 Tim 3:12-15
Salvation is rewarding.
This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires. Rom 13:11-14
Salvation is worth it!
The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:9
