We have been studying Psalm 119 in Sunday school for several weeks. It contains 176 verses but what you may not know is it uses the phrase “your word” thirty-five times.
John tells us in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
He also says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
The Word is Jesus!
There are other phrases in the Psalm that mean the word of God; phrases like precepts, testimony, commandments, and law.
I came upon this thought – what would happen if I put Jesus in the place of those phrases like Your word, Your testimonies, Your judgment, Your precepts, and Your law?
I think the result is astounding!
