You Need Salvation? No Sweat!

I found a news story about the “sweat lodge” deaths.
It reported that Ray had told the participants that it was a good day to die so they could be born again.
“You’re not going to die,”

self-help author and speaker James Arthur Ray told participants in the sweat lodge that day, they later recalled. “You may think you are, but you’re not going to die … You need to surrender to death to survive it.”
The sweat lodge ceremony, the culmination of a five-day retreat in Sedona, Arizona, was meant to be a “rebirthing.”
By the end of that day two people had died.
A third died nine days later.
It’s reported that others fell ill.
His words sound curiously close to something Paul said in 1 Cor 15:36; what you sow is not made alive unless it dies.
Though it’s an agricultural reference, it has a spiritual meaning.
But we must die to self, die to sin and live for Christ to be born-again; if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Cor 5:17
If these sweat-lodgers were looking for a spiritual experience of being born-again, I believe I could have helped them for free and with no danger.
I would have told them about Jesus; how He died for them, was resurrected the third day, and now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us.
He can and will forgive all who come to Him and seek salvation.
I would have told them this wherever we may have been.
No need for a sweat lodge or some prepared place; Jesus has already prepared a place!
We could have been in Wal-mart, at the park, on the sidewalk, or even in church.
Salvation is free and is safe for all ages.
Don’t let any tell you different!
If you need salvation, I will help you! No sweat!

  1. Liars will be found out. How terrible for some, they see to late. Once I was told (by a saint) that believing in Santa Cluse is a childs first experance in faith. First faith experance ends in finding it was all a lie. What has that done to the child. To late to reverse the miss trust. Liars have no idea the damage they do to the innocent, or to those who would have been a friend. To late they’ll find their reward is no a fable.
